AMERICAN TIFO

Available to rent September 2024 – December 2026

American Tifo is an exhibition organized by The Footy Museum highlighting one-of-a-kind artworks created by soccer supporters groups across the United States.

Supporters' groups are independent organizations of fans who work collaboratively to create chants, songs, banners, and large graphic displays, referred to as tifos, that are presented during soccer matches. Large in scale and created in a collective manner, these tifos take days to complete and are only displayed for a few minutes during a team’s game. American Tifo presents the work of some of the most active and innovative groups working in this art form today. Displaying game-used tifos alongside never-before-seen works, American Tifo provides the rare opportunity to experience the art of soccer.

In addition to displaying original works from across the country, American Tifo tells the story of how tifos and other choreographed fan actions have become a vital part of the most popular sport in the world, and how American supporters are leading the way when it comes to this truly one-of-a-kind genre.

This exhibition is a perfect experience for audiences learning about the game as well as hardcore fans. Available through the 2026 World Cup year, it is a great opportunity for institutions to present content in line with this historic nationwide event.
